About AxisApks

A package index for people who read the details before tapping install.

What this is

AxisApks is a reference index rather than a storefront. Each entry records the package identifier, the developer string, the category and the rating figures, so a package can be identified without guesswork.

Identification first

The package name is the one part of an Android app that cannot be faked in a screenshot. We lead with it on every entry, because that is the field that tells you what you are actually installing.

Static and quick

The index is generated ahead of time and served as flat files. Pages open immediately, and nothing runs in the background.

Corrections

Indexes drift. If an entry shows a stale version or a changed developer string, send us the package name and we will re-check the record.

Scope

We index developer builds only. Modified, repackaged and unlocked variants are out of scope, because they break the one guarantee an index is supposed to make.

Who maintains it

AxisApks is maintained by people who spend more time reading manifests than reading app descriptions. The index reflects that bias.

Coverage grows one category at a time rather than all at once, so entries stay checkable.

An install decision is a technical decision. Give it technical information.
